Buff Bridal Workouts!

Wedding season is here! Trying to juggle a busy schedule with wedding planning can be stress-inducing for the ordinary person, let alone if you’re a bride to be. Fitting relaxation and exercise into your schedule is a must as you want to look and feel sexy on your big day. Because time and budget constraints are both maxed out when you’re in the quagmire of the wedding planning frenzy, there are plenty of bridal workouts on the internet and on DVD that can be done in the comfort and privacy of your own home.

Working out at home is a great alternative to joining a gym and is essentially free. While you can use any workout DVD to get in shape, a number of fitness instructors have targeted brides to be as their next training “victims.” Some of the more popular DVD’s include: Women’s Health: The Wedding Workout , which on amazon.com has a very respectable 45 5 star ratings, the most popular of the buff bride workouts. Other popular bridal dvd workouts include The Healthy Bride’s Workout DVD with 7 4 & 5 star ratings, as well as Buff Brides: Countdown to Gown Workout , focusing on arms and back, abs and hips.

Internet wedding sites, like wedding.theknot.com, shape.com and fitnessmagazine.com also provide great workouts to blast blubber, get nutrition advice, boost your energy and lose weight. Wedding.theknot.com also provides several very cool and motivational playlists to make your workout time fly.

If working out at home isn’t your thing, and it’s in your budget, gym memberships are still an option. Many gyms have deals for several months and, if you find a gym that you like that’s not in your budget, don’t be afraid to ask if they will match the price of another gym (many do – they want your business too!). Deals can be found on the internet as well. Some gyms even offer a discounted rate if you prefer to go in during non-peak hours.

Another often over-looked resource — take advantage of your health insurance plan, which may cover a portion of your gym fees or other health & wellness related activities. It’s surprising what health insurance plans provide discounts for, so take advantage of what your premiums are paying for!

Don’t view working out simply as a way of getting fit for your big day, but rather as the beginning of a new, better, and healthier you. You will be starting a new life with your soon-to-be spouse. The workouts and tips you use months before the wedding are great to take with you even after the wedding.
